Big Day

Absolutely crushed every game I played today. I moved up and played a little 4NL and got up over 40 bucks, then bought in for the minimum of $2 at the 10NL game(which is still within my bankroll limits at $40) and dominated that game to bring the account up to $64. Pretty good run. Im thinkin about multi-tabling here pretty soon. Hopefully I can keep up the good play and focus. Wont be playing many freerolls anymore as I focus on cash games.

Bankroll

finished the day with the bankroll at $22.91. Played well and stayed focused throughout the day. This is the most I have played all week. The players at the 2NL game are very weak players and I was able to take advantage of their mistakes all day with few exceptions. Hopefully tomorrow I can continue the upward trend.

Fun hand….

I cant figure out how to post the hand replayer yet, so a hand history will have to do…nothing too special, just a fun hand and a glorious river card and awesome action on the river. Once I figure out the hand replayer I will post many more hands. A couple more hand like this and I can play some 4NL…lol

Havent played much this week

Ive been out and about looking for a job since I moved back home to arizona so I havent been playing much poker. Ill be playing a little more now, even though I havent found a job yet 🙂 Im still hangin on strong. Been up and down through the week and currently Im still right around 10 dollars. Ive had a few problems short stacking the 2NL, but im starting to change the strategy a little bit and its starting to work. By the way, the freerolls on Minted Poker are awesome and they added like 4 or 5 more freerolls per day for march. There is well over 10 freerolls per day and thats not counting the 2 FPP point freerolls. I encourage anyone to start an account and play here. There is no risk, and the small stakes tournaments are also good quality. Many of the guaranteed tournaments have a large overlay.  Once I get some players under my affiliate account here, Ill start setting up some small stakes private tourneys for everyone who signs up.

Huge freeroll cash

I played in minted pokers weekly $100 Facebook freeroll yesterday and Placed 4th out of 195 players for 10 dollars. Considering only 5 places were paid, it was a very tough tournament to cash in. I’m very happy with the cash and I Played pretty much mistake free poker the entire tournament. The only frustrating thing was 2 bad beats I received when we got down to 4 players that caused me to be on the short stack. But the good news is that I am now bankrolled properly for 2nl, although I will only be bankrolled for a 50 cent buy in right now. My account sits at 10.18 at the moment so proper bankroll would indicate .50 is 5 percent of my current bankroll. I think this should be enough to make sure I dont lose my entire bankroll. I’ll start playing some consistent cash tables tonight along with my normal schedule of freerolls. I’ll keep you posted.

Up to 0.79. Still Focusing on freerolls until I get a few min buy ins at 2NL.

3rd place

Had a great tournament in my second freeroll of the day, finishing 3rd for 0.55. This brings the total up to 0.66 which is the highest I have had in the account so far. Plan on keeping it all this time. I was very close to getting heads up. The player to my left had me covered by a very small amount and he went all in preflop and I called with AQ. He turned over 88. Flop was K 10 2 but I couldn’t pair up or hit my straight on the turn or river and I was eliminated. Good showing though. Let’s see where I can go from here

Cashed in a freeroll again, but disappointed.

Cashed in a freeroll for 9th place and .11, but could have been so much better. I was on the short stack the entire tournament, barely cashed, and was in last or close to it the entire time i was in the money. I finally doubled up and stole some blinds to get up to over 13000 with the blinds at 1000-2000. I get A J offsuit on the big blind and obviously im going all in. I get 2 limpers and i shove from the big blind. Button calls with the J 6 of diamonds and flops a flush. This hand would have got me over 27 thousand chips and would have put me in a position to possibly make a cash of close to a dollar or even more. So frustrating to go down like that to such a poor hand when I had the guy crushed and he has no business even limping with a hand that bad. Happy to cash, but pissed off that I went out like that.

awful day

back down to 0. Played well, but absolutely nothing went right. Lost every single race I was in, lost when I was a heavy favorite, and had absolutely nothing else go right. Pitiful feeling. Ill try to do something tomorrow and get back some money in the account. Very frustrating.

Played well today

Im pretty happy with my play today overall. I cashed in 2 of 6 freerolls for a total of 16 cents and cashed in 4 of 6 10 cent double up sit n go’s. Finished the day with the bankroll at 0.41. Good comeback from yesterday I think. Going to hit the freerolls hard tomorrow and hopefully I can get over a dollar and start playing 2NL with a few minimum buy ins for a small cushion.
